UKCIS is a national web-based reporting tool, running across the NHS national network, providing the user access to cancer information for their area. To use the UKCIS you must be registered and connected to the NHS network.

About UKCIS
Through a configurable web interface, UKCIS offers secure and timely information on cancer incidence, mortality and survival with control over drill-down to lower levels of data and data manipulation features, meaning that you can navigate to your area of interest with ease.
The applications in UKCIS provide comparative views of the information held by the cancer registries of the UK and allow users to compare their own organisation or local geographies data to national levels, Government Office Regions, Local Authorities, Strategic Health Authorities, Primary Care Trusts and Cancer Networks.
Data Available on UKCIS:
UKCIS currently includes:
- Cancer incidence, mortality and survival* analyses for both local government and health geographies
- Individual and common groupings of all cancer sites
- Numbers and crude rates
- Age-standardised rates
- Age-sex profiles
*survival is provided only at higher level health geographies - cancer networks and above

Register to access the UKCIS
Access to the UKCIS is only available through your regional cancer registry. To register you should download and complete the application form and send this to your regional cancer registry.
