Cancer Survivorship
NCSI | NCIN analysis
The National Cancer Survivorship Initiative is a partnership between the Department of Health and Macmillan Cancer Support. Following the Cancer Reform Strategy's commitment to improve patients' experience of living with and beyond cancer, the initiative has been established to consider a range of approaches to survivorship care and how these can be best tailored to meet individual patients' needs.
NCIN analysis and publications
In addition to a range of reports on cancer survival, Thames Cancer Registry, working on behalf of NCIN and Macmillan Cancer Support has prepared a report on One, Five and Ten-year Cancer Prevalence by cancer network for England and Scotland with national estimates for Wales and Northern Ireland. This report is accompanied by a Prevalence e-Atlas which displays the data as an interactive map.
As well as informing the Survivorship Initiative as a whole, NCIN expects to provide particular support to the late effects and research workstreams.
