Lead Cancer Knowledge and Intelligence Teams

The regional PHE Knowledge and Intelligence Teams (KITs) provide a cancer information service based upon the cancer data collected by the National Cancer Registration Service.

Each of the KITs has taken the lead for one or more tumour sites. The lead KIT support the Site Specific Clinical Reference Group for that site and deal with data requests for the relevant tumours.

Requests for information about multiple tumour types should initially be directed to the applicant's local KIT. Requests for regional information should be directed to KIT covering that region; the United Kingdom and Ireland Association of Cancer Registries (UKIACR) provides a search tool to identify the  team responsible for a particular area.
