NCIN and partner organisations prepare guidance documents to support health service and other users in understanding and using the available information.
A detailed guide to aid cancer networks and PCTs produce baseline assessments including data sources, issues that need to be considered, core indicators and detailed information that should be included. This guide has been jointly produced by NCIN and NCAT.
Cancer decision making: turning data into intelligence is a quick and easy guide for all staff in health service organisations who use data to support decision making. It includes practical guidance and case study examples, as well as advice on action planning for change and working with stakeholders, embedding and sustaining change, and monitoring and evaluation.
The guide has been developed collaboratively by Anglia Cancer Network, Cancer Research UK, Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network, Mount Vernon Cancer Network, North East London Cancer Network, North Trent Cancer Network and Roche Products Limited. Roche supported this joint working project by providing project management, facilitation and artwork resource.
